Helping Professionals Get Hired in the New Age of Artificial Intelligence
For more than 10 years, I have helped professionals throughout Ireland and internationally secure better jobs through professionally written CVs, LinkedIn profiles and career consultancy. During that time, recruitment has changed more than at any other point in history.
Today, Artificial Intelligence is transforming how employers recruit. Before a recruiter even opens your CV, it may already have been analysed, ranked and filtered by Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-powered recruitment software. As a result, many highly qualified professionals are being rejected long before anyone has the opportunity to recognise their experience.
At The CV Doctor, I combine more than a decade of international CV writing expertise with an in-depth understanding of AI recruitment to help professionals position themselves successfully in today’s employment market. Whether you are changing careers, seeking promotion, relocating abroad or entering the job market for the first time, my objective remains the same: to ensure your experience is recognised, your value is understood and your application stands out in the AI era.

Only a few years ago, writing a good CV was often enough to secure interviews. Today, that is no longer the case. Artificial Intelligence now plays a significant role in the recruitment process. Many employers use AI-powered recruitment platforms to analyse applications, identify relevant experience, compare candidates and determine who progresses to the next stage. While these systems have made recruitment faster and more efficient, they have also created new challenges for job seekers who are unaware of how modern hiring technology works.
Unfortunately, many excellent professionals continue using CVs that were designed for a recruitment process that no longer exists. They possess the qualifications, experience and ability employers need, yet they struggle to secure interviews because their applications are not communicating effectively with today’s recruitment technology.
Understanding how AI interprets your CV is now just as important as the information contained within it. That is why every document I produce is carefully structured to perform successfully with both AI recruitment systems and the human recruiters making the final hiring decision.
If you want to succeed in your job search, it’s important to present yourself as a true professional. A great CV is just the start, how you show up in interviews, what you write in your cover letter, and how your LinkedIn profile looks all matter.
I will help you to make your Application stand out. A good CV is more than just an introduction, it’s your chance to tell your story. I’ll write a custom cover letter that shows your value and fits the specific role role you’re applying for.
I’ll help you prepare a Cover Letter that will introduce you in the best possible light. We will reiterate crucial elements of your experience, knowledge and education to reinforce your suitability for the role.
Your LinkedIn profile is literally your online CV. I’ll help you rewrite it so it highlights your strengths, expertise and achievements, whilst also using the right keywords to make it SEO friendly in order to get the attention of recruiters and hiring managers.
One of the most common conversations I have with new clients begins with the same question. “I’ve applied for hundreds of jobs. Why am I not getting interviews?” In most cases, the answer has very little to do with their qualifications.
Over the past decade, I have reviewed thousands of CVs from professionals across almost every industry imaginable. The overwhelming majority have one thing in common. They are capable, experienced and employable, but their CV simply fails to communicate that value effectively within today’s recruitment environment.
Sometimes the document lacks structure. Sometimes it fails to demonstrate measurable achievements. Sometimes it has been generated entirely by AI and sounds exactly like hundreds of other applications recruiters receive every week. Increasingly, however, the issue is that the CV has never been written with modern AI recruitment systems in mind.
A professionally written CV should do far more than list your employment history. It should tell your professional story, demonstrate commercial value and clearly explain why you are the right person for the role, while also ensuring that recruitment technology can accurately understand your experience. That is exactly what I help my clients achieve.
I love to hear from clients. Here are a few kind words they’ve shared about their experience with me.
Very happy with the results. I reached out to Sean at The CV Doctor, and finally, he put together a professional CV that highlights my experience, strengths and values. I am already getting interviews, and it has only been 2 weeks.
Excellent experience working with Seanie!! Great approach to work and ideas! Exceptional response time and attention to details! Thank you! Highly recommended services and exceptional outcome too 😉 …
For more than a decade, I have worked with professionals from almost every industry imaginable, helping graduates, experienced professionals, senior managers and executives secure interviews with some of Ireland’s and Europe’s leading employers.
During that time I have written thousands of CVs, reviewed career histories from across more than 40 industries and worked with clients applying for opportunities throughout Ireland, the UK, Germany, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
The biggest change I have witnessed has not been in the job market itself. It has been in the way employers recruit.
Artificial Intelligence is no longer something employers are experimenting with. It has become an integral part of modern recruitment. AI now assists organisations in analysing CVs, identifying relevant skills, comparing candidates and prioritising applications before a recruiter has even begun reviewing them.
That is why my role has evolved.
Today, I don’t simply write CVs. I help professionals understand how recruitment works in the AI era and position themselves to succeed within it. Every recommendation I make is based on real-world recruitment trends, modern hiring technology and more than ten years of helping professionals achieve their career goals.
Whether you require a complete career overhaul or simply want to understand why your current applications are being overlooked, my objective is to provide honest advice, practical solutions and documents that genuinely improve your chances of securing interviews.

Artificial Intelligence has made it easier than ever to create a CV. Within seconds, tools like ChatGPT can produce professional-looking documents using information copied directly from your existing CV or LinkedIn profile. While these tools are incredibly useful, they also have significant limitations that many job seekers only discover after weeks or months of unsuccessful applications. The reality is that AI can only work with the information it is given.
It cannot identify the achievements you forgot to mention. It cannot ask intelligent follow-up questions. It cannot recognise where your experience has greater commercial value than you realise. It cannot challenge assumptions, recommend a different career direction or explain why your current job search strategy may not be working. Most importantly, it cannot replace decades of experience reviewing real CVs, understanding employer expectations and recognising what separates successful applications from those that never reach interview.
I use Artificial Intelligence every single day because it is an exceptional tool. However, it remains exactly that—a tool.
Experience, judgement, strategy and human insight continue to make the difference between an average application and one that genuinely stands out. That is why every CV I produce is written personally, tailored specifically to the individual and designed to work with modern AI recruitment systems without sounding as though it was written by one.
There is no such thing as the perfect CV.
A graduate entering the workforce requires a completely different strategy from an executive applying for board-level positions. Someone relocating from overseas faces different challenges to a professional changing careers after twenty years. Likewise, applying for a multinational organisation in Dublin demands a different approach to targeting opportunities in Sweden, Germany or Switzerland.
That is why I never rely on templates or generic AI prompts. Every project begins with understanding your background, your ambitions and the types of organisations you want to work for. From there I develop a strategy that presents your experience clearly, highlights your achievements and positions you competitively within today’s AI-driven recruitment landscape. My objective has never been to create attractive CVs.
My objective is to help people secure interviews.

The recruitment process has changed dramatically over the past few years, and many professionals don’t realise just how different it has become. Before a recruiter even opens your CV, it may already have been analysed by Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), AI-powered recruitment software or other technologies designed to help employers manage large volumes of applications.

This doesn’t mean Artificial Intelligence makes every hiring decision, but it does mean your CV needs to communicate your experience clearly, professionally and in a way that both technology and recruiters can understand. Unfortunately, many highly qualified candidates are still applying with CVs that were written for a recruitment process that no longer exists, making it harder for their experience and achievements to stand out.
The CV Doctor has evolved significantly over the past decade. While professionally written CVs remain at the heart of what I do, my role today extends far beyond simply rewriting documents. Modern recruitment requires a much broader understanding of how employers recruit, how Artificial Intelligence influences hiring decisions and how professionals can position themselves successfully in an increasingly competitive market.
Every client has a different career story, different ambitions and different challenges. Some are looking for promotion, others are changing careers, relocating abroad or returning to work after a career break. Rather than producing generic CVs or relying on AI-generated templates, I take the time to understand your experience, identify your strengths and develop a strategy that presents you in the strongest possible light.
Whether you need a professionally written CV, LinkedIn profile, cover letter or simply honest advice about your career direction, my objective remains the same. To help you understand today’s recruitment process, strengthen your personal brand and significantly improve your chances of securing interviews in the AI era.
Ireland’s recruitment market has changed significantly, and having an AI-compliant CV in Ireland is now essential for job seekers across all sectors. Most medium and large employers now use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and AI-powered recruitment software to screen applications before a recruiter reviews them manually. This means your CV must be written and formatted in a way that recruitment software can read correctly.

Many candidates are still using outdated CV templates with columns, graphics, tables and complex designs that often confuse ATS systems. As a result, highly qualified professionals can be filtered out automatically before their application is ever seen by a hiring manager. A clean, structured and keyword-optimised CV dramatically improves visibility within these systems.
An AI-compliant CV should include clear job titles, industry-specific keywords, measurable achievements and a strong professional profile aligned to the target role. It should also use a simple single-column layout that allows ATS software to accurately scan experience, skills and career progression.
In Ireland’s increasingly competitive job market, employers are focusing heavily on candidates who can demonstrate value quickly and clearly. An ATS and AI-friendly CV helps candidates position themselves more effectively, improves interview chances and ensures their experience is properly recognised within modern recruitment systems.
